Our Vision and Principles for PE

What do we want children to learn? How will all children flourish?

At St. Peter’s, PE develops the physical, social, and emotional well-being of our children. Children will flourish through an engaging and progressive curriculum, and will be equipped with the skills, knowledge, and attitude to become the happiest, healthiest versions of themselves.

We will develop children's confidence to help them understand that exercise is fulfilling, rewarding and fun. We whole-heartedly provide the opportunity to try a range of sport and physical activities, with the experience of intra and inter school competition.

We aspire for all our children to be engaged, motivated and happy when it comes to Physical Education. We aim for all our children to have secured age-related skills and knowledge before they leave St. Peter’s. This equips them with the ability to successfully prepare for a healthy and physical life ahead in which they can make informed choices about physical activity. In addition to this we strive for our children to be knowledgeable about healthy competition, team building and resilience in the wider world, believing this will allow them to flourish.
