Headteacher's Message

St. Peter’s has an important place at the centre of our village community. We pride ourselves on the relationships we have with each other, the Christian family-feel to our school and ultimately, the education and experience we give our children.

St. Peter's CE Primary School has an outstanding reputation for its caring inclusive family ethos based on Christian values.  Governors are fully involved in the school's life and we are well supported by our parents an active PTFA 'Friends' and the wider community.  Our children are at the heart of our school - please have a look at their class pages to find out about their learning.

Our Vision Strapline focuses on our strong belief, that all children can aim high, enjoy and achieve at whatever they want in life.  Our Mission Statement focuses on the children being the light of the world.  Let them be the light of Jesus, living their faith now for themselves and shining out for others to see.  We shall be their rock allowing them to build their life foundations on a solid Christian primary education.  Let them make the most of their talents to further develop their learning and to become good members of the community in which they live.

Our teachers have a wealth of experience to offer our children and inspire them with well-planned and exciting lessons within our creative curriculum.  Themed days and weeks are held to enrich the experiences for the children with visits and visitors also supporting areas of the curriculum.

We welcome visits to our school and look forward to sharing our learning community with you.

We have recently embarked on a long phase building project.  Phase 1 improved the 'Mitchell' building which now has 3 newly refurbished and redesigned classrooms and 2 groups rooms.  Phase 2 improved the main building with 4 classrooms and toilet areas being redesigned and  refurbished.  Outside we have developed an amazing outdoor Early Years Area.  More to come next year ....
